Dear Mr. Mises:
I enjoyed your visit and the discussion with you last week
very much. I am very glad you could come over to the office and meet
Dr. Robinson. He takes this whole fight for free enterprise seriously
and is not merely interested in an armchair review of the issues in-
volved; he wants action. I am enclosing a copy of a memorandum he
wrote which looks toward the setting up of an orientation center for
businessmen which could serve as a focal center for aggressive effort.
He hopes that he can induce the men who would attend the contemplated
meeting with you and Hayek to undertake and support some such venture.
I am enclosing the memorandum because it may make clear to Mr. Hayek
when he arrives this week-end that Robinson intends to set up machinery
for systematically maintaining an intelligent organized fight for free
enterprise by big business leaders, and that the contemplated meeting
is not at all on the order of just another pleasant evening.
I look forward to lunch with you on Monday at noon.
Yours very truly,
Arthur Dahlberg Dilling
