However there are some problems to take into consideration. Our monetary situation is getting worse from day to day. The deficit-financing policy leads into a catastrophe. One cannot know when the unavoidable crash will occur. It is diff- cult under these conditions to prepare several months in ad- vance a serious article. Besides, I badly need a rest of several months. So I want to make another suggestion. In a section of my book Human Action I have tried to condense all that I have to say -- and, as I think, can be said -- to justify freedom and the social system of the market economy in which alone freedom can exist. This section -- pages 279-287 of the new revised edition of Human Action (probably the equiva- lent of about 10 pages of An. Opinion) -- contains in the new version (rewritten for the new edition) the essence of my politi- cal philosophy and, as I think, of the political philosophy of American Opinion and of Mr. Welch. Included in a book of 900 pages, price $15.-, it is little known outside of the circles of economists. Its reprint in Am. Opinion would make it accessible to all American friends of freedom.
