Ludwig von Mises to Eugene Davidson Letter, January 16, 1957
January 16, 1957
Mr. Eugene Davidson
Yale University Press
New Haven 7, Conn.
Dear Mr. Davidson:
Thanks for your kind letter of January 11.
Miss Yerkes's editing is indeed a great help.
She has considerably improved my manuscript.
For the questioned reference to the scientific
basis of econometrics -- or, more precisely, to the lack
of such a basis -- I suggest the following wording: "which
cuts the ground from under their line of reasoning."
I highly appreciate the great interest you
take in the publication of my new book as you have already
done in my earlier publications.
With all good wishes for a Happy New Year,
Sincerely yours,
LM/ms
