Dear Mr. von Mises:
Thank you for your good letter and for returning the
second batch of manuscript so quickly. All the rest of the
material goes to you today by express, insured for $500. When
you have been over it and returned it to us, won't you name
some date, a little after our probable receipt of it, at which
it may be convenient for you to come to New Haven and discuss
any remaining problems? It will be helpful, of course, if you
will allow me time before hand to read over your marginal com-
ments and clean off all answered queries.
Won't you please leave my slips attached to the pages
even after you have answered their queries? I have difficulty
in remembering what the query was unless it is still there.
Also, if you should retype a page, will you leave the old type-
script in the manuscript along with the new? Can you possibly
send me the two void pages, which I believe you have retyped,
in the early part of the manuscript?
Sincerely yours,
yerkes
