Dear Professor Hamilius:
I am delighted to learn rom your letter that
there is in Europe one genuine llboral more than I had
assumed until yesterday.
I am propared to give you the right to tronslate
into Gorman OF French or into botl of those languages my
lanned Chaos" under the following conditions:
1) The translation is to be published before
July 1, 1953
2) In caso a now edition either of the Gorman
original of Die Gemeinwirtschoft or of the
/
French translation which Was published in
1938 by Librairie de Medicis in Paris under
the title Le Socialisme should be made, the
publisher will be free to add a translation
of Planned Choos as an Epilogue.
The William Volkor Fund (Post Office Box 113,
Burlingame, California) occasionally provides European
scholars, especially those interested in the problems of
genuine liberalismi, with newly published American books.
I shall suggest that they send you a number of such books.
I am sorry that I cannot provide you with a copy
of my Liberalismus. But I hope that one day a copy will
turn up in one of the New York second-hond bookshops.
