Ludwig von Mises to Jean Morini-Comby Letter, February 27, 1952
February 27, 1952
Monsiour le profe seur Jean Morini-Comby
Faculte de Droit, Universite de Montpellier
Montpellier (Horault) France
Dear Professor Morini-Comby:
Thanks for your letter of January 31. Please don't
bother to write 100 in English. My knowledge of French
does, of course, not go so far as to make it possible for
me to struggle successfully with all the intricacies of
the subjonctif and the participe passe. Thus I avoid
writing lottors in French if the addressee has full com-
mond of English. But for all other purposes my French
soons to suffice.
I talked about your plan with Mr. Horbert Cornuolle,
the representative of the William Volker Fund. (Mr.
Cornuollo is a member of the Mont Pelorin Society.) He
thinks that it would be a troublesome way to collect
small subscriptions. He suggested that the Volker Fund
makes a contribution and that the American friends of
Professor Baudin are morely being asked to declare their
support of the action.
Consequently Mr. cornuelle sent me a check for
$100.- to transfer the sum to you. I an enclosing my c
check of $100.- Please be so kind as to confirm the
receipt to the
William Volker Fund
Post Office Box 113,
Burlingame, California
U. S. A.
I om looking forward to the communications you
announced in your letter of January 31.
with kindest regards
Yours truly
ENCL.
