Ludwig von Mises to Louis Baudin Letter, November 1, 1952
November 1, 1952
Professor Louis Baudin
10 Place President-Mithouard
Paris (7°), France
Dear Profes or Baudin:
It is really very good news to learn that
you plan to visit New York about Easter 1953.
It is too early to give a definite answer
to your questions as there still prevails eslight possibi-
lity that a meeting of the Mont Pelerin Society will be
hold about that time somewhere in the neighborhood of New
York. (The alternative is, as far as I know, a meeting
in Italy, perhaps Amalfi, in Summer or early Fall 1953).
If there is no Mont Pelerin meeting in
U. S., I would suggest that you consider two lectures in
New York: one on the Incas and a second on the chances
of a revival of economic liberalism. in France or in West-
orn Europe in general OF some kindred subject. This sec-
end locture before a small audience of friends of freedom
invited by the Foundation for Economic Education. Mr.
Leonard Read, the President of the Foundation, sends you
his very best greetings.
We had already decided to entrust the
translation of the Incas to a very competent and expo-
rienced translator, when this lady got a permanent job
that prevents her from embarking upon other work, Cor -
nuelle comes in the second week of "ovember to New York
and then, I hope, a now decision will be made.
With all good wishos
Cordially yours
