Mary Dillon to Herbert Cornuelle Letter, February 2, 1953
February 2, 1953
Mr. Herbert C. Cornuelle
Executive Office
William Volker Charities Fund
Post Box 113
Burlingame, California
Dear Mr. Cornuelle:
President Theobald has asked me to write you regarding the
proposed lecture of Professor Baudin sometime this spring at
Queens College.
Let me say that we are most interested at the opportunity
of having this distinguished French scholar on our Campus and
appreciate the Volker Fund making it possible.
I would, however, like some additional information.
(1) When will Professor Baudin be in New York? Does
he have a preference as to a date?
(2) Can you send me publicity material?
(3) Do you wish the Volker Fund to be mentioned in
the publicity releases?
(4) Would you secure from Professor Baudin an outline
of his lecture or a list of the topics he will discuss? This
is for publicity.
(5) I assume the lecture will be in English.
(6) Would you suggest what part of the $500 should be
used as an honorarium and what part for such expenses as a dinner,
printing and publicity?
Thanking you for your generosity and kindness, I am
Sincerely yours
Mary Earhart Dillon, Chairman
Department of Political Science
