Ludwig von Mises to Nolan B. Harmon, March 21, 1955 Letter
March 21, 1955
Mr. Nolan B. Harmon
Editor, Religion in Life
150 Fifth Avenue
New York 11, N. Y.
Dear Mr. Harmon:
It would give me great satisfaction if I could
write for your Quarterly the article you have kindly
suggested in your letter of March 16. Unfortunately I
am at the moment too busy to engage in new projects. For
the greater part of the last 13 months my health has not
been too good and I had to submit to a major surgical
operation. I am now completely recovered. But I have
to make up for the time lost and to finish various wri-
ting plans which I had already started before my illness.
I think that Professor Karl Brandt (Food Research
Institute, Stanford University, Stanford, California)
could write an article of the kind you need. Professor
Brandt is one of the most eminent specialists in the
treatment of agricultural problems and has for many
years studied the land reforms effected in various
countries.
I would be delighted to meet you personally.
Please telephone me at your convenience (Monument 2-7877).
With kindest regards,
Sincerely yours,
LM/ms
