Ludwig von Mises to William J. Grede Letter, July 19, 1966
July 19, 1966
Mr. Wm. J. Grede
P. 0. B. 443
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Dear Mr. Grede:
Many thanks for your kind invitation to join the
planned 1976 Committee. I feel highly honored by the
fact that you as well as Messrs. Welch and John Brown
think that I could still render some services as a mem-
ber of such an illustrious body.
I regret very much that my age forces me to
abandon some previously inaugurated projects and prevents
me from taking over any new responsibilities. But, al-
though not a member of your Committee, I will always try
to support the great cause for which you and all our
friends are fighting.
Please appreciate my reasons and excuse my refusal.
Yours very sincerely,
