Ludwig von Mises to Jean-Pierre Hamilius Letter, June 19, 1956
June 19, 1956
Professor Jean-Pierre Hamilius, Jr.
121, rue J. P. Michels
Esch/Alzette, Luxembourg
Europe
Dear Professor Hamiliust
I am sorry that I did not sooner answer
your fine letter of February 16. But there were many,
many things that absorbed my time. Unfortunately my
wife was suffering and had, two weeks ago, to submit
to the same kind of operation I needed in 1954. Now
she is recovering very well and we hope that she will
be all right again in two more weeks.
So I have not had even the leisure to look
at your translation of Planned Chaos that Mademoiselle
Genin sent me.
Did you receive a copy of Henry Hazlitt's
The Free Man's Library? If not, write to the Foundation
for Economic Education. This book may render you valu-
able services in preparing the materials for your book.
I plan to attend this year's Mont Pelerin
meeting at Berlin. Will you be there?
All good wishes.
Sincerely yours,
LM/ms
