Key Is Congressional Control Of Economy
The arms of the world octopus move in many different dir-
ections at all times. But the most important of its goals
for 1962 will be the attempt to bring America into the
European Economic Community as a necessary step to the ul-
timate goal of world government; for, as Lenin said, "A
single world economic system is essential for the final
triumph of socialism."
The steps to that goal are:
FIRST STEP: To override or wreck the constitutional power
of Congress over our economy (Article I, Section 8), trans-
ferring the power to the President. This can be done
either by renewing the "Reciprocal" Trade Act or passing
legislation with another high-sounding name.
SECOND STEP: To lower and finally eliminate our tariffs
"wholesale," creating disastrous economic conditions as
our economy is flooded with cheap-labor goods of every
description.
NATURAL RESULT: An untold number of workers will be made
jobless. Industries vital to our national defense will
close. (Industries which have already closed up much of
their American factories, importing much or most of their
products from overseas are the sewing machine, watch,
typewriter and radio industries.)
THIRD STEP: To put the jobless on relief, as Mr. Kennedy
promised to the AFL-CIO convention, on December 7, 1961.
Speaking of the "victims," as he called them, he said: "I
do not intend to give them a medal and an empty grocery
bag.
The government/ has an obligation to help those who
must adjust to a national trade policy."
FOURTH STEP: Taxes will have to be raised at the same
time that the national income goes down. This will not
