Dear Professor Murata:
Many thanks for your kind letter of May 21st.
I am very happy to learn about your eminent scientific
work and about the great success of your teaching. It is
too bad that my ignorance of the Japanese language prevents
me from reading your contributions to economic knowledge.
I do hope that in a not too distant future you will
visit this country again and that I will have the pleasure
of discussing with you some of the great problems of our age.
With all good wishes
Yours sincerely,
