Henry Regnery to Leonard Read Letter, March 30, 1965
March 30, 1965
Mr. Leonard E. Read
The Foundation For Economic Education, Inc.
Irvington-On-Hudson, New York
Dear Leonard:
Many thanks for your most helpful letter of March 23rd.
Not having heard from Yale after their first letter, I called
the director of the Press, Chester Kerr, a day or two ago.
He told me that they are perfectly willing to transfer the
rights to us, but are of the opinion that their old plates can
be used again, and corrected in some way so that we will
get a good impression. He is sending me some proofs and
giving me the cost of having them redone. I thought I might
as well wait until this comes in before deciding whether or
not we should reset.
It is certainly my intention to accept their offer of the rights,
and I think that we probably will reset the book. As soon as
we have worked out the final details I will let you know. Need-
Henry
less to say, I greatly appreciate your helpfulness and your order
for 500 copies.
Regnery
I send my best to you, and I hope to have a chance to see you
Company
before long.
