New York 25, New York
Dear Mrs. von Mises:
I have not forgot about sending you a Parker
ballpoint pen. I ordered it a long time ago and
instructed them to have your name engraved on it so that
you could identify it. I also ordered one for Dr. von
Mises with his name on it.
The latest time I was in Janesville at The
Parker Pen Company the little girl who handles such
matters clutched her head and said that she had mislaid
the ballpoint pens and did not have the slightest idea
where they were. She was frantic about it and I decided
to be noninsistent. But if you will have patience, you
will eventually get them.
In the meanwhile, The Parker Pen Company has
a subsidiary, The Eversharp Pen Company, and I am sending
you a few of their small pocket ballpoint pens under
separate cover.
Sometimes pens like these are hard to start
because they have not been used for a considerable period
of time. If so, take a piece of scratch paper and fold
it enough times so that it is thick, and press real hard
on the ball, and then the pen will always start.
With best wishes for you in 1962 from both
Mrs. Nymeyer and me,
Yours very truly,
Hymeyer
Frederick Nymeyer
